Series HandicapBetting Exchange Market
On an exchange you do not just place a bet — you also have the option to bet against other bettors. BACK means you are for a team winning; LAY means you are against that team winning. For example: decimal odds of 2.00 for Team A to win. If you BACK Team A with ৳500 — you win ৳500 if Team A wins, and lose ৳500 if they do not. If you LAY, it is the opposite — you receive ৳500 if Team A does not win, and you pay ৳500 if they do. Commission applies in both cases.
Understanding Odds Formats — Decimal, Fractional and American
The same odds can be written in three different ways. All three formats say the same thing — only the way of expressing them differs. See the example below for Team A's odds of winning.
Example 1 — Team A can win (underdog)

If you place a ৳200 bet — if you win you get a total of ৳500 back (৳300 profit + your original ৳200). If you lose, the ৳200 is gone.
Example 2 — Team B is the favourite to win

American minus (-) odds show how much you need to bet to make a ৳100 profit. A winning ৳200 bet returns a total of ৳300 (৳100 profit).
Multi Bet Example — Three Selections
Decimal odds of 1.40, 1.50 and 1.90 — placing these three selections together gives combined odds of: 1.40 × 1.50 × 1.90 = 3.99 (approximately). A ৳100 bet returns ৳399 if all selections are correct. But if any one selection is wrong, the entire ৳100 is lost — that is the key feature of a multi bet.
Live In-Play Betting — odds change with every ball
During a match, live betting markets update with every wicket, boundary or maiden over. When a wicket falls, the batting team's odds generally rise (meaning the market sees their chances of winning as lower) and the bowling team's odds fall. The opposite happens after a run of big overs.
